EMPLOYMENT Information

Amory Transportation LLC is a refrigerated carrier located in Hampton, Virginia providing LTL (less than truckload), truckload, and pool load services. Our freight comes to our Hampton terminal from the gulf coast and all along the east coast from Florida to New York. We consolidate the shipments here and transport them to the middle and upper mid-west, including Des Moines, Kansas City, Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh. We specialize in refrigerated and frozen seafood and perishable refrigerated and frozen food items.

Because our primary focus is refrigerated LTL, all drivers are trained to manage mixed temperature freight, and the proper use of bulkheads. The Amory Transportation fleet consists of new and/or late model Western star or International tractors and Great Dane or Utility trailers with Thermo King reefer units. We maintain our fleet off site and take pride in the quality of our rigs.

Our drivers are first and foremost ambassadors to our customers, but almost equally as important they are ambassadors of the trucking industry to the general public. We are always looking to add drivers that are dedicated to their profession and can provide outstanding customer service.

Long haul. Solo and team drivers wanted for service from our terminal to the middle and upper mid-west, including Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, Kansas City, and Des Moines. Routes leave weekly with 2-3 days off between trips depending on the back haul. Multi stop and mixed temperature with driver arranged single or multi-stop back hauls. Refrigerated LTL experience is a benefit.

Regional. Solo drivers wanted for weekly and bi-weekly loops to the Carolinas and Maryland/New Jersey. Multi stop and mixed temperature. Refrigerated LTL experience is a benefit.

Local. We prefer drivers that have an interest and willingness to also do some regional routes occasionally. Positions include local around-town deliveries and pick-ups, out of town deliveries and pick-ups that return the same day, and over night runs to Maryland, DC and other destinations as needed.
